It is never about the end result. It’s always about how you get there.

Experiencing growth, learning, joy as well as sadness, uncertainty and fear are ALL the elements of living a true life.

This means that it’s not always about being awesome (that is not reality) but rather doing our best to live in the moment for ALL our moments, not just those that are good and easy.

Some of our best learning and growth spurts come from the tough times.

So that’s easy to say, but HOW do you get through the tough days?

  1. Have a good support group around you. Business mentors, coaches, colleagues as well as outside of work people that you can call on.
  2. Keep in perspective the purpose and why you’re doing what you’re doing – don’t lose sight of that!
  3. Keep track of your evidence bank and your trust bank. These are the things that you’ve WON at in the past and keeping these achievements top of mind (in a journal, book, post-it-notes on the wall) will help remind you that you CAN, even when you think you can’t.

The only way you can guarantee the good times will be around the corner, is by being consistent with your actions.

Keep on keeping on and working through the tough times. Don’t try to avoid them as this is where SO MUCH learning and growth happens! This gives us the light and shade to our business and our lives.

So as you embark on your next chapter, remember it is always about the good AND the bad. The happy AND the sad.

To give it your all, in your heart of hearts you know that you have not given up on yourself or your true calling in life.

It’s up to you and only you to set the benchmark for your life and the standards by which you will live by. So make it count!
